Wedding Ceremony Information

Please note, the use of the building at any time is contingent upon and subject to the state of Minnesota COVID-19 guidelines. You may refer to our “STWCI Reopening Plan” here: https://speaktheword.org/reopening-plan/ . Pastors also officiate offsite wedding ceremonies.
WEDDING CEREMONY APPLICATION

Please fill out a Wedding Ceremony Application online at speaktheword.org or pick one up at the Information Center in the church lobby.

Your online application will be received by the church office or you may turn in your hard copy at the Information Center to be processed.  You will also receive a "Letter from the Pastor" which lists the requirements of STWCI along with this "Wedding Ceremony Process Information Sheet".  It is your responsibility to contact the church office to schedule an appointment with a Pastor for a pre-wedding meeting.

 WEDDING CEREMONY DATE AND TIME

STWCI holds weddings on site on Fridays and Saturdays on a first-come, first-serve basis and are subject to the availability of the building and the Pastor.  No weddings are held on Sundays, national holiday weekends, or during a church-wide event.  Your wedding ceremony date and rehearsal date will be placed on the church calendar upon completion of the Wedding Ceremony Policy and Guidelines Agreement Contract.  No dates should be announced until after completion of this process.

Please speak directly with the Pastor if you desire an offsite wedding.

THE PASTOR

A STWCI Pastor will officiate at your wedding ceremony.  Contact the church office to schedule your pre-wedding appointment with a Pastor.

Couples are expected to participate in the Prepare Enrich assessment.  The Pastor will give you a link to take the Prepare Enrich.  Upon completion, a meeting will be scheduled to review the results.

The church does not provide a wedding coordinator. However, we do require you to secure a wedding coordinator to work with the Pastor officiating your ceremony. The officiating Pastor will work with your wedding coordinator to coordinate the rehearsal and wedding ceremony according to the guidelines of STWCI.

Once you have received final approval from the officiating Pastor, your wedding ceremony date will be placed on the church calendar.

Upon approval of the officiating Pastor you will receive a STWCI Wedding Ceremony Policy and Guidelines Agreement Contract to review the policies, guidelines and fees. Upon agreement, the contract is signed and a deposit is collected.  Your rehearsal and wedding ceremony dates will be confirmed and scheduled through the church office.

If you wish to have other pastoral involvement, please consult with the officiating Pastor at STWCI about such arrangements.

The STWCI Pastor's fee is included on the Wedding Ceremony Package Fees sheet.
