STWCI Preparedness Plan for Reopening Sanctuary ON SUNDAYs effctive 3/25/21
Our staff has been healthy during this time and we are taking steps to create a safe environment for those who are in attendance. Surfaces will be sanitized before every service.
Pre-service prayer will start at 9:30am. Service will start at 10:00am.
Masks are required. Exemptions include: people who are unable to wear or tolerate a face covering due to medical or mental health conditions or other reasons and children under 2. For children ages 2-5 it is not required but encouraged.
Seating is at limited capacity to accommodate distancing and it will be first come first serve. Pews will be marked for seating following the social distancing guidelines. Please adhere to these guidelines throughout the building. We ask you to cooperate with the Ushers who will be seating you in order. Families will be allowed to sit together.
All perimeter doors will be open. However, entry into the sanctuary will be limited to the front entry doors.
Hand sanitizer stations will be available in the lobby and the restrooms.
There will be no Children’s Ministry or Teen Ministry until further notice. Children's Ministry materials are available our website.
The Nursing Mom's room will be closed until further notice.
The Café will be closed until further notice but we are serving coffee and a pre-packaged cookie as you leave in compliance with guidelines.
All water fountains will be closed until further notice.
There will be an opportunity to give during the service. Methods of giving include online giving, text2give, or with offering envelopes to be deposited in the bins located in the hallways as you exit the building. No buckets will be passed for the offering. Click HERE for details on ways to give.
Communion will be offered online until further notice through our website at speaktheword.org. When communion resumes, we will provide individual, pre-packaged communion elements.
We encourage you to watch the service through livestreaming if you have symptoms, are high risk or if you are not at ease being in public at this time.
Communication can happen online as well, by leaving comments, needs requests, prayer requests, etc. that will be read, answered, and attended to by church staff.
Following the service, we ask everyone to leave the building in a timely fashion.
